2017 Entrant Information

Thank you for reviewing the following information carefully in order to help insure your Ocean Road 10k is a smooth and enjoyable experience. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via email or on our Facebook page.


Bib Assignments:

Bib assignments for 2017 entrants will be available soon. The 2017 Ocean Road 10k is 100% sold out. There is no online or onsite registration available for the race on October 1.


Schedule of Events

1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Bib pick-up
Location: Denali, Wakefield, R.I. (map)

6:20 – 7:20 a.m. Bib pick-up, Parking and Shuttles
Location: Narragansett Town Beach (map)

Shuttle Waves will be determined by your bib assignment

6:30 AM: Shuttle Wave 1
6:45 AM: Shuttle Wave 2
7:00 AM: Shuttle Wave 3
7:15 AM: Shuttle Wave 4

8:00 a.m.: Race Start

Pre-Race Information

Please Arrive Early!

Please be sure to afford enough time to park at Narragansett Town Beach and board your designated shuttle. We advise showing up at least 15 minutes before your assigned shuttle wave. There is NO parking available at the race start in Point Judith.


Bib Pick-UP (NO onsite registration)

Registered participants will receive their race bib with timing chip and athlete shirt at registration. There is NO onsite registration available as the event is 100% sold out.

Participants may pick-up bibs and shirts for friends and family, but must provide a copy of the ID or a photo of the ID on their phone for verification.

Runners can pick up their bib and timing chip on race morning before boarding their shuttle, however it is strongly recommended that all runners attend Saturday registration to alleviate race morning delays.



Parking is available at the finish line of the event in north and south lots of Narragansett Town Beach (map). Shuttles will be provided to take athletes only (no spectators) to the starting line beginning at 6:30 am.

There is NO parking at the starting line. Participants are welcome to arrange their own transportation to and from the start/finish If you are being dropped off at the starting line please leave enough time to avoid traffic as our shuttles will be running all morning.

Participants can arrange for their own transportation to and from the start/finish, but we encourage you to utilize the shuttles.



The Ocean Road 10k is 100% sold out. Due to the number of participants, all athletes will be assigned a shuttle time. We ask for your cooperation in arriving early to park, and board your assigned shuttle wave. (Athletes are welcome to board an earlier shuttle than their assigned wave, just not a later one.)


Gear Storage - Mobile Locker Co.

Course Map

Lock it up with The Mobile Locker Co.! Locker rentals give you a secure, convenient option for valuables and gear, starting at $5. Rent online in advance or onsite with cash or credit. The Mobile Locker truck will be parked at the race start in Point Judith and then drive to the race finish for participants to collect their gear post-race.

Note: We DO NOT offer a gear bag check area for this race.

Traffic Impact

No roads will be closed on race day. Traffic traveling north on Ocean Road during the race will be delayed throughout. We encourage all cars to use Rt. 1 to travel North from Pt. Judith that morning.



Age Group Prizes are awarded to the top finishers in each age group (the top 3). You must be present to receive your prize. Awards info.

Entry fees include an official event shirt and finish line food and beverage. Although additional charitable fundraising is appreciated, no additional fundraising is required to participate in the run/walk.

T-shirt size is subject to availability. Participants that arrive to registration early have the best opportunity to secure the size they would like. Choosing a size on our on-line registration does not guarantee that your size will be available at packet pick up.




The course runs along Ocean Road and is fairly exposed to wind. Runners should monitor the weather leading up to race day and prepare accordingly. There is no rain date and no refunds will be permitted. Please review our cancellation policy.

Extreme Weather Cancellation Policy

There is always the potential for extreme or severe weather conditions. Race organizers will do as much as we can to ensure the experience is as safe as possible. In the event of severe weather, the race may be delayed as race officials consult public safety officers. If there is more than a short delay, if conditions persist, or the forecast calls for extreme weather, race officials reserve the right to alter or cancel the race. Entry fees are non-refundable. Please check the website, our Facebook page and your email before the race for any changes or cancellations.


Refund Policy - 45 Days

Registered runners may request a full-refund of their paid fee up to 45 days prior to the event. No refunds will be granted in the final 45 days before the event. Please contact us about refunds at info@graymattermarketing.com.

Registration Transfers - One Week

A request must be sent no later than one week prior to the event by the runner who purchased the registration with the name, adress, email, gender and date of birth of the runner taking their place to info@graymattermarketing.com.

Deferrals - One Week

All race deferral requests must be sent no later than one week prior to the event. Deferral requests will be granted upon registration opening for that same race for the following year. When registration opens a coupon code will be issued charging a $15 deferral fee and runners are required to re-register on their own within a week of receiving the code.
