We are excited to announce the eighth annual Ocean Road 10k benefiting the Narragansett Historical Society. Scheduled for October 4, 2020, the course starts at the Point Judith Lighthouse and travels 6.2 scenic, coastal miles north on Ocean Road under the Towers and finish in the north parking lot of Town Beach.
We're thrilled to announce that the Ocean Road 10k was voted as the "Best 5k/10k" and "Best Race T-Shirt" in the Northeast by Competitor Magazine. Voting Results.
A portion of proceeds from this event will benefit the Narragansett Historical Society.

Who: Open to runners or walkers.

Parking is available at the finish line of the event in north and south lots of Narragansett Town Beach (map). Parking is available on a first come-first serve basis in the Town Beach parking lots. Additional street parking is available nearby, throughout Narragansett. Shuttles will be provided to take athletes only (no spectators) to the starting line beginning at 6:30 AM.
There is NO parking at the starting line (map). Participants are welcome to arrange their own transportation to and from the start/finish If you are being dropped off at the starting line please leave enough time to avoid traffic as our shuttles will be running all morning.
Registered participants will receive a race bib and timing chip at registration which will be held October 3rd and on race morning:

Runners can pick up their bib and timing chip on race morning, however it is strongly recommended that all runners attend Saturday registration to alleviate race morning delays.
The Ocean Road 10k is a charitable event. In order to provide our participants with the best experience possible we are actively seeking event volunteers.

Lock it up with The Mobile Locker Co.! Locker rentals give you a secure, convenient option for valuables and gear, starting at $5. Rent online in advance or onsite with cash or credit. The Mobile Locker truck will be parked at the race start in Point Judith and then drive to the race finish for participants to collect their gear post-race.
Note: We DO NOT offer a gear bag check area for this race.
Parking and shuttles: Narragansett Town Beach
No roads will be closed on race day. Traffic traveling north on Ocean Road during the race will be delayed throughout. We encourage all cars to use Rt. 1 to travel North from Pt. Judith that morning.

The course runs along Ocean Road and is fairly exposed to wind. Runners should monitor the weather leading up to race day and prepare accordingly. There is no rain date and no refunds will be permitted. Please review our cancellation policy.
Unfortunately, strollers and pets are not allowed on the Ocean Road 10k course.
Our events are held rain or shine. However, there is always the potential for extreme or severe weather conditions. Race organizers will do as much as we can to ensure the experience is as safe as possible. In the event of severe weather, the race may be delayed as race officials consult public safety officers. If there is more than a short delay, if conditions persist, or the forecast calls for extreme weather, race officials reserve the right to alter or cancel the race. We do not schedule "rain dates". Any decision to cancel an event is done as an absolute last resort and is made collectively with local risk management, police, fire & rescue, and medical personnel as appropriate. In such situations, there will be NO REFUNDS as registrants accept any such risk of their entry free when signing up.
