    Did you know that when you race beneath The Towers, you are literally running through the heart of America’s Gilded Age? Built in the 1880s as the grand entrance to the Narragansett Pier Casino, this stunning stone archway was once the ultimate playground for the wealthy. It hosted elegant balls, tennis matches, and theater shows. It is even the birthplace of the famous appetizer, Clams Casino! In 1900, a massive fire destroyed the rest of the wooden casino, but these mighty granite walls refused to fall.
